So as we all know, 2 days ago was the fourth of July! America’s birthday! Huzzah!

The night of the fourth we all went out to watch the fireworks at night (duh). We parked in a church parking lot across from where they were going to shoot off all the fancy fireworks and we all got our chairs out and set up my wife’s camera to try her first time at taking pictures of the ‘works!

All I can say is wow! Alot of the pictures came out really, really well! I wish I had one to post here but sadly I don’t have one on my iPhone. Some of the framing was off a little bit due to the various heights the fireworks exploded at and us being just a weee too close to them! Next year I think we’ll try for a lake (or ocean if we’re out in California next year) and try that way.

All in all it was a great night and weekend! Everyone loved the fireworks, especially the kids. Had one that was launched from some curch people, and it turned mid-flight and blew up over some cars! And that’s why I truly believe that fireworks should be left to the pros!

Then yesterday, the wife and I went out which was awesome. Always good to get our alone time, which is very quiet haha! We went out to the Melting Pot and afterwards we went out and walked the plaza and snapped some pictures for a couple times. Couldn’t do it for too long due to the sun dropping fast so we headed home!

Installed the new iOS Tumblr and man I have got to say, I love it! Haven’t explored all the options just yet due to getting it pretty late (it’s 1:47am as I type this!). But from what I have seen so far I do like!

There’s a storm rolling in as well right now. It’s soothing to listen to the rain hit the roof but as the thunder and lightning draw near, I worry that the family may wake up. And as if he can read my mind, my boy just started whimpering. Dad to the rescue!

Took the family out to the KC Zoo today. Was mine and my sons first trip there (only other zoo I’ve ever been to was San Diego Zoo).

It was pretty fun to go and see all the animals! I had heard that it’s hard to see them due to not being active from heat/cold. But I have to admit, every animal we went to see was out, maybe not cruisin’ around but still outside enough to see!

We saw some red pandas which were pretty awesome. And as we were getting ready to leave the polar bear amd sea otters were swimming around like crazy. I love watching animals through the glass as they swim, it’s a really neat view!

Grilled Teriyaki Chicken for the first time last night. Did a pretty good job if I say so myself! It was more successful then my first time with burgers hahah!

All through the process I was pretty nervous about getting the temp just right for each chicken breast. I’m still getting used to using the grill as well, what with the vents and all. Been reading some this morning about when to open/close the top vent. Apparently you’re supposed to leave the bottom vent open at all times until you’re ready to kill the coals, I messed with both the entire time the chicken cooked, doh!

Well my little boy is now 2 years old! It’s really crazy how fast the time goes by. It facisnates me to no end to watch his mind figure things out and how fast he catches on to things.

Had a GREAT weekend (my days off fall on Wed and Thurs). Went to the store and got a grill and set it all up amd cooked out yesterday. Mother Nature decided to cancel that with a massive downpour, so that ended rather quickly! But next time I’ll be better prepared! Really had a lot of fun grilling, even though the burgers turned out to be garbage, but the wife’s veggie burgers turned out pretty well!

Also built the wife’s new computer!! Pretty excited about that as well. We played the hell out of Diablo 3 (no pun intented). Her build went a LOT smoother then mine did a few months back.

All-in-all I had an awesome weekend. Here’s to another one being just as awesome! Have a great Memorial Day weekend everyone!

Went to a Royals game tonight! Was really fun and was the first game for both kids and my first for Royals. This shot is where we sat for the game, right above KCs dugout! Game is still going as of this post (in the 13th inning).

Happy Mothers Day to moms everywhere! Spent time with the wife and kids and mother-in-law and grandma! Went to Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes for lunch. Depends on where ya live with the name ;) I come from Souplantation area hahaha but where I live now it’s Sweet Tomatos.

I’m at work now so had to part with the family :( but good news is this is my Wednesday so the weekend is that much closer!!!

Had a great day Wednesday May 9th! I know I’m not postin from the actual day itself but hey I didn’t have this account then hahaha! But anyway, spent the day cruisin around with my wife and almost 2 year old son. Later in the day the Mrs. and I went and saw The Avengers! Really great movie and I highly recommend seening it!

We wound the night down with a visit to a local bar, VERY local, it’s right across the road from us local. That was pretty cool. Had a band playin some tunes and various sports goin on all around.

All-in-all it was a great day!

So here is my Tumblr! Wheeeee! Now have to figure everything out and what to post and whatnot! Kind of always wanted my own lil blog space to kind of rant or just mindlessly talk! (Like now)

I guess I could go over a couple things! Welp I’m married and have two kids. Love playin video games and hangin out with friends and family.
